1 cup of cashews, soaked
1/2 cup sunflower seeds, soaked
1 lemon juiced
dash of garlic powder, and any other spices
1/3 cup of nutritional yeast
Soak cashews and sunflower seeds in water for 2 hours. Do not discard the water. Cashews are not raw, but generally raw vegans use store-bought cooked nuts. A really raw nut is one that YOU picked off the plant. After soaking, add nuts, seeds, lemon juice, spices, and nutritional yeast to blender or food processor. Add a small amount of the leftover water to the blender. Blend until smooth consistency. Continue to add small amounts of water until the mixture is creamy.
Spoon out a dollop of the pate mixture onto a leaf of lettuce along with toppings of your choosing, such as tomato, cucumber, avocado, green onions, zucchini, grated carrots.
