Late Summer Garden Harvest

This garden year hasn't been as fruitful. I was able to harvest some greens early summer, but late summer garden has only provided a couple batches of beans and cucumbers.

I will say, though, the canned beans and pickled cucumbers will last me until next garden year.

Here are a couple pictures over last month's garden harvests.

Canning yummy garden food & pictures of beautiful harvests

To all my garden lovers, I haven't been on in weeks because I've been busy doing work with my advocacy group, I went to a weekend worshop on advocacy through anti oppression framework; I got a job at a domestic violence center; and I've been taking care of my granny who is in the hospital for cellulitis.

But anyway, I have many pictures of my garden harvests and I've been eating well thanks to the bounty of garden food.

Scrumptious garden food into salsa & spaghetti sauce

I have been quite busy outside of the garden work. But in my down time, I'm watering the garden, hoeing, weeding, harvesting and canning.

Lately I have been picking and stringing beans from the garden. My family has been gracious enough to help, and even grandma is canning beans for me. In exchange, she gets all the beans she wants.

Of course the tomatoes, peppers, and herbs from the garden are going to making salsa, spaghetti sauce or salads.

I turned these into salsa minus the cucumbers

Making pickles & admiring the rustic aesthetic of the garden

Garlic cloves, dill seed, mustard seed, and peppercorns with the pickles

Melons and tomatoes

Cucumbers and beans

Besides the flowers, everything in the garden was started with seed I planted

All the tomatoes were started from seed and the basil too

I can't believe I started these peppers from seed, most the time I never have luck
