When I finished my summer class, I had a little more free time this summer to do several things.
I was so happy to finish a semester of school and the summer class, that I made a list of what I wanted to do when I was done with classes.
My list was:
1. Watch the last season of Walking Dead 🧟♂️
2. Catch up on Running Man episodes 🏃♂️🏃♀️
3. PAINT 🎨 🖌
4. HIKE
5. BIKE
6. GARDEN
I have done all of those things this summer, and then some! Here are some of those adventures...
All if the forests, trails, rock formations, caves, and creeks you see are part of the Daniel Boone National Forest in Kentucky, at the heart of Appalachia.
Painted a barn for a coworker that was retiring
My family and I hiked along the 3 Bridges Trail, Smoky Bridge, Fern Bridge and Cascade Caves and X Caves in Kentucky
I have Fall semester classes coming up, so it will be hard for me to do much more hiking the rest of the year.
I'm glad I got to hike for the last month consistently. It's therapeutic being surrounded by greenery, gnarly trees, big beautiful rocks, and mushrooms!
I have one last trip for the year to the Red River Gorge. I'm going to try to find Copperas Falls. Wish me luck!
