I consider November through February the Winter months. Some may think there are absolutely no fruits to be harvested during this time. In Kentucky, I harvested Persimmons and nuts throughout October and November. In warmer regions, oranges, apples, pears, persimmons are harvested during the Winter months.
Remember, there are many root vegetables and greens which you can grow throughout the Fall and even protected throughout the Winter. For example, Cilantro, lettuce, spinach, swiss chard, endive, kale, potatoes, carrots, sweet potatoes, parsnips, turnips, etc.
